At the north of Etretat you can see the beautiful cliff called “La falaise d’amont”.
To reach this place you have to go through the “manhole” a hole dug in the cliff by man from the beach of Etretat. Early in the morning you can see “La manneporte lumière du matin”.

When you go south of Etretat along the cliffs there is a path that goes down to a beach. On this beach you have a magical view of the “La pointe de la courtine”

I remember the day I painted this canvas at the “Cran d’Escalles”, the tide was rising.
At low tide, the large beach of Escalles offers a beautiful view of the cap blanc nez.
Lucky am i to have good weather at the end of summer to paint this canvas “En haut du cap blanc nez” (At the top cap blanc nez)
